Clemson University School of Architecture (CUSoA) invites applicants for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Architecture, in architectural design and architectural history and theory, beginning August 15, 2025.

The successful candidate will have a clear research agenda communicated through publications or other forms of dissemination. They will teach across the curriculum in undergraduate and graduate programs. The teaching load includes a design studio with a core lecture course or seminar in architectural history and theory each Fall and Spring semester. All faculty are expected to serve on committees or other leadership roles.

CUSoA provides multiple architecture pathways, beginning with a B.A. in Architecture. The accredited Master of Architecture includes an option for a certificate in history and theory. Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor and/or Master of Architecture, or other accredited, professional, terminal architecture degree. Applicants with a Bachelor of Architecture must hold a Master or PhD in Architectural History and Theory, or a related field.
• Completed AXP architectural internship (or international equivalent) or be ABD, with the completion of doctoral degree requirements by July 1 of the year employment commences.
• A trajectory or established record of research, scholarship, and/or creative architectural work.
