The School of Architecture at Florida Southern College invites applications for a nine-month, tenure-track-eligible Assistant Professor of Architecture position to teach in the School’s new five-year Bachelor of Architecture degree program beginning fall 2025. Florida Southern College is home to the most extensive single-client collection of Frank Lloyd Wright-designed structures and landscapes worldwide. It provides an inspiring and fitting backdrop for the education of future architects.

Our Ideal Candidate Qualifications include:

  • Terminal degree in architecture (MArch) or DArch/PhD from a regionally accredited (or comparable) institution
  • The ability to develop and implement new courses
  • Professional U.S. architectural licensure or NCARB Foreign Architect Path to Certificate
  • Three years of professional practice in architecture
  • Three years of successful teaching experience at the university or college level
  • Scholarship and creative accomplishments in the field of design
  • The ability to teach advanced design studio, lecture, and seminar courses
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, written, graphic, and oral communication skills
  • Skills and experience in the use of digital tools in architectural design and construction
  • Integration of artificial intelligence in design applications
