Call for Submissions
The 2018 ACSA/COAM International Conference will focus on multiple crises our cities are facing and how the architecture faculty, designers & practitioners throughout the world can help. Submissions for both abstracts and projects will be accepted.
Call for Abstracts
Educators, practitioners, and advanced graduate students are invited to submit 500 word abstracts, in English, and a maximum of 5 images. The abstracts should be prepared for a blind peer-review process with no references to author or institution. The same abstract may not be submitted to multiple topics. Authors of the selected abstracts will be invited to develop the full paper (no longer than 4,000 words) which will be published in the Conference Proceedings. It is ACSA policy that accepted authors must pay full conference registration for the International Conference in order to be included in the conference presentation and Proceedings. Authors of the selected abstracts will deliver a 10-15 minute presentation in one conference session that will include four to six other authors.

Call for Projects
In recognition of the highly visual research and creative work being done by architecture faculty and practitioners around the world. Educators, practitioners, and advanced graduate students are invited to submit projects and reports on ongoing research, presented in a single PDF image (20″ x 30″ / 50.8 x 76.2cm, portrait), along with an abstract. The submission should be prepared for a blind peer-review process with no references to author or institution. The submissions will be reviewed by a jury of renowned designers. Accepted projects will be included in a physical exhibition held during the conference and will deliver a 5-10 minute presentation in one conference session that will include eight to ten other projects. It is ACSA policy that accepted authors must pay full conference registration for the International Conference in order to be included in the conference presentation and Proceedings. Additionally, the jury will select a number of projects for special merit awards.

Online Submissions
The 2018 International Conference is open for submissions to any professional, faculty, graduate and doctoral students worldwide. If you are already an ACSA member, please log into the website and complete your submission. If you are not an ACSA member or do not have ACSA credentials, please send an email to membership@acsa-arch.org or contacts below to request credentials for the 2018 International Conference.
Conference Presentation and Publication
Accepted authors agree to make a 15–20 minute presentation of their paper at the conference. Accepted authors must pay full conference registration to present at the conference and be eligible for inclusion in the proceedings. Following the conference, authors will submit finalized papers for review for inclusion in a proceedings published either with an academic publisher or through other digital means that will meet standards for indexing.
The conference co-chairs reserves the right to withhold a paper or project from the program if the author has refused to comply with the guidelines. Failure to comply with the conference deadlines or request for materials in advance may result in an author being dropped from the program.
