2017 Administrators Conference
CROSSING BOUNDARIES
Host School:
University of New Mexico
Conference Co-chairs:
Geraldine Forbes Isais, University of New Mexico
Rafael Longoria, University of Houston
Conference Overview
Architecture professes to be inherently collaborative and interdisciplinary, but is it? The 2017 ACSA Administrators Conference will provide a forum in which to formulate strategies designed to erode stubborn boundaries and taboos, while promoting collaborations across disciplines, and among academics and practitioners, researchers and designers, universities and their surrounding communities, as well as neighboring countries.
“Crossing Boundaries” will foster clear and inclusive definitions of current notions of scholarship, research and creative achievement in architectural pedagogy. New Mexico, a place where borders have historically been crossed and continue to be challenged, will provide an ideal landscape for these stimulating conversations.
