Associate Professor Martin Despang´s post-fossil (Passive House standard) Ecowoodbox kindergarten for the city of Hannover has been presented by Barbara Widera, Faculty of Architecture, Wroclaw University of Technology in “Passive and Low Energy Architecture in Education of Contemporary Architecture” at the PLEA 2011 / 27th International conference on Passive and Low Energy Architecture and Sustainable Development in Brussels (July 2011).
Assistant Professor Beth Weinstein will publish “Turned Tables: Public as Performer” in Architecture as a Performing Art, Marcia Feuerstein and Gray Read, eds. Her essay on Architecture and Performance will be included in the catalogue for Prague Quadrennial 2011, Arnold Aronson, ed. Weinstein will present the scenographic works realized with students at the SEAM2011 Symposium in Sydney, Australia (Fall 2011). Finally, she has been invited to the EFLA Regional Congress of Landscape Architecture in Tallinn, Estonia (November 2011) as well as the ACSA Fall Conference “Local Identities/Global Challenges” presenting research and design proposals on water issues.
