Abstract Yogyakarta has a huge potential of natural attraction which has been ironically neglected by the government. Thus, the elements which are supposed to be the key points of economical aspects in its role to help the settlement management and the city environment was less organized and left a slum area in the middle of the city. On the other hand, technological developments are growing rapidly and making demands in space requirements are even greater. This of course makes it easier for humans to ignore nature in order to get what they want of the many space requirements, co-working space is one of the phenomena in the area of Yogyakarta. The demands of work space from students and also workers certainly make co-working space a necessity. Departing from the issues above, we try to facilitate both needs of co-working space and the neglected nature of Yogyakarta city with the biophilic architecture approach which bring the theory of riverfront, biophilic criteria, and public space, to create an environmentally friendly design which spreads benefits to its surroundings above the code river such as prosperity for community, river-health, productivity of workers, unification from all community background.
