Tourism is usually defined as the act of both socialand economical activities during leisure or vacation.According to Lawson, tourism gives the opportunityto enjoy and learn different cultures, discover historyand new places, and have fun while traveling1.Tourism is not just a grouping of different commercialactivities; it involves a people’s ideologies abouthistory, culture, nature and tradition. These ideologiescan become so powerful; they can change cultureand nature to fit their idea of what should be2.Starting from the second half of the 20th century,mass tourism has started to spread; the profileof the tourists, the expectations and demands ofthem have altered. In this period, there have beenmany changes in economical, political, social, culturaland organizational fields of life, and consumptionhas become dominant3. Tanyeli states that acceleratingmass tourism has been transformed “individualtourists” to “statistical tourist”4.
